About the Position:
We are looking for a strategic, tech-minded Project Manager to lead the planning and execution of key initiatives across the company. You'll work across multiple systems, vendors, and teams, and will be relied on to prioritize, organize, and wrangle competing processes, workflows, and technical requirements. All of which will need to be documented along the way (but you're a PM so you already know that).
Swyfft's business runs across three core lifecycle phases — Pre-Bind, Post-Bind, and Claims — each with its own teams, systems, and cadence. This role will work with stakeholders in one or more of these phases, and initiatives will often require coordinating dependencies across phase boundaries. You don't need deep expertise in all three on day one, but comfort learning how a policy moves from quote to bind to servicing to claim, and who owns what along the way, will help you hit the ground running.
*This position is a 100% remote U.S. based opportunity that can be based in one of the following states only: AL, AZ, FL, GA, KY, LA, MA, MO, NC, NJ, NY, OH, OR, PA, SC, TX, UT, VA, WA, WI.
Some travel for day-to-day work, team meetings, and training will be required.
Key Responsibilities: (What you'll be asked to do)
- Manage all day-to-day project planning, execution and implementation for cross-functional, company-wide initiatives.
- Partner with internal and external teams and vendors to understand and effectively communicate the operational and technical requirements of each project.
- Manage project expectations, requirements and deliverables by providing ongoing proactive communication, documentation and structured follow up to all project stakeholders.
- Lead meetings and standups to ensure all project initiatives are moving forward; you set the pace, remove blockers and ensure project milestones are being met.
- Plan and manage project resource allocation with various departments in the company.
- Document detailed workflows and processes for internal team use that will be transformed into playbooks and reference guides for end user training.
The Successful Candidate: (What we're looking for)
- Our ideal candidate has previous experience and understands the insurance policy and claims lifecycle.
- Natural ability to establish trust with internal and external teams; you dig in, you learn the processes, people, and desired outcome of the project.
- Previous experience managing technical or cross-departmental projects; you're comfortable learning new systems and business processes quickly.
- You understand complex systems at a data flow level; bonus points for anyone who understands this at a programmer level.
- Exceptional problem solving, communication and organizational skills.
- Previous background integrating or using accounting and finance systems is a plus.
Some Requirements:
- Strong technical background that includes knowledge of different systems and how they integrate and work together.
- 5+ years of experience leading complex, large scale project implementations.
Education:
- Bachelors' degree or equivalent experience required.
- PMP certification or other project management certification a plus.
Computer Skills:
- We're a MS Office environment.
- Experience using video and chat technology (MSTeams & Slack).
Other: This is a remote opportunity
- Reliable high-speed internet connectivity required.
- Designated quiet work from home space.
