The role
What we're looking for
We're looking for an experienced Security Engineer to own security at Pylon. You should be comfortable being the directly responsible individual for our security posture, handling extremely sensitive customer data with zero tolerance for mistakes. You have a track record of drafting, implementing, and enforcing security best practices across an entire engineering organization.
What you'll do
Own security end-to-end, from policy and implementation to enforcement across the company.
Lock down sensitive customer data, ensuring it's encrypted, access-controlled, audited, and protected at every layer.
Draft and enforce the playbook for how Pylon handles data, credentials, access, and incident response.
Partner closely with infrastructure engineers to bake security into our systems from the ground up.
Build a strong security culture through training, code reviews, and threat modeling, making security a part of every engineer's daily work.
Compensation & terms
- Base salary: $220K - $280K
- Equity: 0.05-0.17%
- Workplace: Hybrid in South Bay Area, New York
- Visa: Available (All types including new H1B applications)
