Python Developer - Big Data Analytics
- Initial 12 month contract with the view to extend
- Conveniently located in Melbourne CBD with WFH arrangement (3 days' in the office)

This is a unique opportunity to lead the ongoing evolution of a mature analytics platform that combines real time data, geospatial intelligence, machine learning, and cloud-based software engineering. You will be a hands-on technical leader, driving software engineering excellence while mentoring team members and helping shape the future direction of advanced analytics capabilities across the organisation.
Required Skills & Experience
- Senior Software Engineer with extensive experience using Python
- Experience building and deploying production systems on AWS.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, cloud-native development, CI/CD, and engineering best practices.
- Experience working with machine learning, AI, analytics, or data-intensive platforms.
- Knowledge of imagery, spatial modelling, and selective LiDAR use cases
- Any knowledge of imagery or spatial modelling would be highly regarded.
- Understanding of hardware-software integration workflows for sensor platforms.
