QA Automation Tester

The Market Surveillance Technology team is responsible for developing and supporting applications that monitor market activity, identify trading anomalies, and support regulatory compliance. The role involves designing and implementing automated testing solutions for surveillance applications, with a strong focus on UI, API, database, and data validation testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts and frameworks.
• Perform UI, API, integration, regression, and database testing.
• Validate large datasets and ensure data integrity across application and database layers.
• Develop API automation and perform API validation using appropriate tools.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD and deployment pipelines.
• Identify, analyze, document, and track defects through to resolution.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product owners, and other stakeholders in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Contribute to improving automation coverage, framework capabilities, and overall quality engineering practices.

SKILLS

Must have

• 8+ years of overall experience in Software Testing, with at least 3+ years of hands-on experience in Test Automation.
• Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver.
• Strong programming experience in Java and/or Python.
• Experience with TestNG, JUnit, and/or PyTest.
• Strong experience in API Testing using Postman and/or Rest Assured.
• Strong SQL and Database Testing experience.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright or similar modern automation frameworks.
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and GitHub Actions.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD and deployment pipelines.
• Good understanding and hands-on experience with Git/version control.
• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with defect management tools such as Jira, Rally, and/or Azure DevOps.

Nice to have

• Experience in Capital Markets, Financial Services, Trading Platforms, Exchange Systems, or Market Surveillance. • Good understanding of Equities, Derivatives, Fixed Income, and/or Commodity Markets. • Knowledge of Order Lifecycle Management and Trade Lifecycle. • Understanding of Trade Surveillance and detection of trading anomalies. • Exposure to regulatory and compliance-related systems or applications. • Experience working with large-scale financial or market data.
