QA Engineer

Join a growing enterprise SaaS business as an embedded QA Engineer within a software development team.
This is a hands-on quality engineering role focused on automated testing, Java/JUnit and improving quality throughout the development lifecycle.

The role
You’ll work closely with Engineers, Tech Leads and Product to improve test coverage, identify risks earlier and give the team greater confidence in each release.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Writing, maintaining and debugging automated tests using Java and JUnit
• Building and improving automation frameworks and engineering test suites
• Testing functional, integration, regression and performance requirements
• Embedding automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
• Diagnosing defects, failed tests and quality risks
• Improving test coverage, tools and testing processes
• Helping ensure the platform remains reliable, secure and performant

Your background
We’re looking for someone with:

• Hands-on experience writing automated tests in Java using JUnit or a similar Java testing framework
• Strong automation, integration and regression testing experience
• Experience in a SaaS, software product or platform environment
• A good understanding of CI/CD and modern software development practices
• The ability to investigate defects and debug failed tests
• Experience working closely with software engineers throughout the development lifecycle
• A practical approach to improving quality, coverage and release confidence

This role would suit a QA Automation Engineer or technically strong QA Engineer who enjoys contributing directly to the test codebase.
