QA/QC Engineer - MEP
The QA/QC Engineer will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and maintaining Quality Assurance and Quality Control Systems across construction and engineering projects. This role ensures that all works are executed in compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, statutory requirements, and company quality standards.
Key Responsibilities :
Implement and monitor the Electrical Quality Assurance and Quality Control System in accordance with project specifications, approved drawings, and applicable standards.
Ensure all construction and engineering activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements, and relevant standards.
Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and surveillance to verify the quality of workmanship and materials.
Identify non-conformances (NCRs), issue reports, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
Coordinate inspections and testing activities with consultants, clients, and third-party testing agencies.
Review and approve material submittals, method statements, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and quality-related documentation.
Monitor testing, commissioning, and inspection results to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Maintain accurate quality records, reports, and documentation for audits and project handover.
Provide guidance and training to site teams on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
Support internal and external quality audits and ensure the timely closure of audit findings.
Candidate Profile :
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or a related discipline) from a recognised institution.
Minimum of 3–5 years’ relevant experience in QA/QC functions within construction, MEP, or engineering projects.
Strong knowledge of quality management systems, inspection procedures, and construction/MEP standards.
Familiarity with ISO standards, particularly ISO 9001, and project quality documentation requirements.
Hands-on experience in site inspections, material approvals, testing, and commissioning processes.
Ability to review and interpret drawings, specifications, method statements, and inspection and test plans (ITPs).
