Quality assurance role inspecting raw materials, in-process and finished pet food products against FDA/USDA standards; calibrates lab equipment, validates scales and metal detectors, performs audits, and prepares samples for microbiological analysis.

Summary: The QA Technologist is responsible for inspecting, analyzing, and verifying incoming raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure they meet quality standards and compliance requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The duties listed below are essential. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
- Follow all Redbarn policies and procedures.
- Perform product inspections during the receiving and production process.
- Report any issues or irregularities to the QA Supervisor and QA Manager.
- Monitor and maintain calibration of all QA lab equipment.
- Monitor and maintain validation of scales and metal detectors.
- Perform audits.
- Prepare samples for submission to the micro lab.
- Adhere to FDA and USDA rules and regulations.
