Quality Assurance Engineer

White Cloak Technologies is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of digital products across web and mobile platforms. This role involves collaboration with developers, product managers, and designers to identify issues early and maintain high-quality releases for enterprise and client-facing applications.

Responsibilities:

• Create and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on business and technical requirements.
• Perform manual testing for web, mobile, and API-based applications.
• Identify, document, and track bugs and defects through to resolution.
• Work closely with developers and product teams to reproduce issues and validate fixes.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release discussions to ensure quality requirements are clearly defined.
• Review requirements and user stories to identify risks, gaps, and edge cases.
• Conduct regression, functional, integration, and user acceptance testing.
• Help ensure applications meet performance, usability, and quality standards before release.
• Maintain clear and organized QA documentation and testing reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously improve testing processes and product quality.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance or a similar QA role.
• Strong experience in manual testing for web and/or mobile applications.
• Experience creating test cases and documenting defects clearly.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Experience using QA and project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms.
• Good understanding of bug severity, priority classification, and defect lifecycle.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.

Nice to have:

• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman.
• Familiarity with SQL and database validation.
• Exposure to test automation tools such as Selenium or Cypress.
• Experience testing fintech, enterprise, or customer-facing digital platforms.
• ISTQB certification is a plus.
