Quantity Surveyor cum Drafter
Job Description
We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor cum Drafter to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for quantity surveying, preparation of quotations and claims, and preparation/updating of construction drawings.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare quantity take-offs and material quantity calculations.
Prepare quotations, cost estimates, progress claims and variation orders.
Review drawings, specifications and contract documents.
Prepare and update construction drawings using AutoCAD.
Prepare as-built drawings and shop drawings when required.
Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, Supervisors and site teams.
Monitor project quantities, costs and variations.
Assist in tender preparation and subcontractor/supplier quotations.
Conduct site measurements and verify completed works.
Maintain proper records of drawings, measurements, claims and project documents.
Perform other QS and drafting duties assigned by management.
Job Requirements
- Diploma / Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in the Singapore construction industry preferred.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Knowledge of quantity take-off, costing, progress claims and variation orders.
- Able to read and understand construction drawings.
- Experience in civil, utility, roadwork, pipe laying or infrastructure projects will be an advantage.
- Good communication, coordination and documentation skills.
- Able to work independently and meet project deadlines.
- Singapore work experience and knowledge of local construction practices will be an advantage.
