Poste et missions
About the role:
Reporting:
- Functionally, you will report to the Head of Portfolio Management Real Assets, based in Hong Kong;
- Locally, you will report to the Head of CPRM and Syndication Middle East and CCA, based in Dubai;
Activities:
- You will have to set up the PM Real Assets function in Dubai and be an integral member of the Real Assets PM APME team;
- You will monitor, manage and retain ownership of dedicated deals of your portfolio (primarily geared towards Middle-East assets, but also including deals from other parts of the APME region). This includes, but is not limited to, a deep understanding of the deal/structure and performing internal tasks like producing annual reviews, waiver memos, ratings and LGDs reviews;
- You will actively contribute and support initiatives aiming at managing and optimizing the bank's balance sheet, including secondary sales, liquidity raising, risk transfer, etc.;
- You will manage a local junior resource, including its initial training, ramp up of competence, and ensure the quality of its work;
You are expected to command strong analytical, problem-solving, credit analysis and cash flow modelling skills supported by sound presentation and communication tools. These attributes are key fundamentals that will enable you to contribute towards presentations and discussions, such as key updates of a deal, annual reviews, material waivers and CPRM opinions, at Credit Committees.
You are a confident individual that will enable you to participate in regular internal and external discussions and negotiations of new and existing deals. For external discussions, it can involve participating in syndicated lenders calls and/or bilateral discussions with the client/borrower plus investors conference calls.
Required skills
- University degree holder in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline. CFA and/or related professional accreditation is highly desirable.
- Ideally, a minimum of 7 years plus relevant work experience and exposure to complex Project Financing and Structured Finance deals and structures in I&EF and/or Aviation or both.
- Confident, strong communication and analytical skills are a pre-requisite.
- Ability to work under pressure and produce/perform under tight timelines is a necessity.
- Excellent command in English (written and verbal).
- A team player with strong interpersonal skills.

About the Department: Real Assets Portfolio Management APME is part of the Front Office and consists of two key business lines and teams: Infrastructure & Energy Finance (I&EF) and Aviation Finance. The department manages USD 2.5 billion of Assets Under Management split between I&EF and Aviation deals that span across North Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, Australia and New Zealand. The team consists of 10 strong individuals spread across Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia and India.
The Real Asset Portfolio Management team specializes in the following areas:
- I&EF Financing Structures: Predominantly, Project Finance (Asset Based) and Structured Finance (HoldCo Structures and Bridge Financing). Key sectors of focus: Renewable Energy (Solar, Wind, BESS), Waste to Energy, Datacenters, Telecom, Upstream Metals & Mining, Upstream & Midstream Gas, Public Private Partnerships projects.
