  • Partner with the business on risk: Provide practical risk and compliance advice, constructive challenge and support to help teams make informed risk/reward decisions.
  • Monitor and manage emerging risks: Identify, assess and monitor risks, incidents and issues, ensuring appropriate actions, escalation and follow-through.
  • Strengthen our controls: Design and advise on effective preventative and detective controls, including opportunities to use automation and technology to improve how risks are managed.
  • Embed risk frameworks: Support Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs) and help embed risk management tools, frameworks and processes across the business.
  • Turn risk data into insight: Monitor risk performance, identify trends and prepare clear reporting and insights for divisional risk discussions and decision-making.
  • Support supplier risk and governance: Provide specialist advice across supplier risk and governance processes, helping ensure appropriate controls and oversight are in place.
  • Build risk capability: Design and deliver practical operational risk and compliance training that helps stakeholders confidently manage risk in their day-to-day roles.
  • Keep our risk information on track: Maintain accurate information within Lendi Group’s risk management system and support broader risk and compliance initiatives as required.
  • What You’ll Bring:
    • 3+ years’ experience in risk and compliance within consumer lending, credit assistance, mortgage broking or a related financial services environment.
    • Strong understanding of relevant Australian regulatory obligations, including the National Consumer Credit Protection Act, Privacy Act and AML/CTF requirements.
    • Hands-on experience in control design, development and testing.
    • Experience identifying, assessing and managing operational and compliance risks, incidents and issues.
    • Strong commercial judgement, with the ability to provide pragmatic risk advice while considering customer and business outcomes.
    • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with confidence engaging and constructively challenging stakeholders at all levels.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex risk matters into clear, practical advice.
    • A proactive and adaptable mindset, with an interest in finding smarter ways to manage risk.
  • Nice to Haves:
    • Experience with RCSAs, risk appetite frameworks and risk management systems.
    • Exposure to supplier / third-party risk and governance.
    • Experience designing or delivering risk and compliance training.
    • Exposure to automation, AI or technology-enabled approaches to risk and control management.
    • Relevant degree or professional qualification.
