In the role of Roadway EIT/Designer, we'll count on you to\:

  • Serve in a technical role under the direction of a Project Manager on the engineering development of urban and rural

    highway/roadway/right of way projects

  • Develop roadway designs and plans in accordance to guidelines, standards, and specifications under the direction of a Project Engineer
  • Oversee the work of CAD Designers, and possibly other roadway design professionals
  • Prepare detailed engineering designs for roadway and highway projects
  • Collaborate with Right of Way and preconstruction staff
  • Participate in activities ranging from site feasibility analysis to final design and through the construction phase
  • Work with client facilities and under direction of Client staff as needed
  • Perform other duties as needed

    Preferred Qualifications
  • Reading and interpreting roadway and Right Of Way plans
  • Experience working with TDOT
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate or ability to obtain
  • Proficiency with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD, familiarity and demonstrated experience with Highways and Roads engineering
  • software such as Bentley ConceptStation and Open Roads Designer required
  • Candidates without their EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code
