SaaS Project Lead/Business Analyst

Salary: $90,000 – $120,000 per year

Are you an experienced project leader who thrives on keeping complex software implementations on track - and on bringing out the best in a delivery team?

About the role

This is a 12-month fixed-term role based in Lower Hutt, leading the implementation of our Infrastructure Data (ID) platform - the SaaS product that helps water, wastewater, industrial and agricultural entities get control of their data, delivering insights and compliance reporting across their operations. You'll own customer implementations end-to-end: planning, resourcing, and delivery, while leading the team of Data Analysts who configure the platform and build out each customer’s reporting. You're the person customers rely on to know where things stand, and the person your team relies on to clear the path.

This role needs the right person more that it needs a fixed number of hours, so if you’ve got the experience but not full-time availability, we’re genuinely open to discussing shaping the role to fit with part-time or reduced FTE.

We’ll be interviewing as soon as applications come through – so don’t delay, apply now!

What you'll own:

· Owning end-to-end delivery of customer implementations - planning, resourcing, progress tracking, and managing scope changes and variations so projects land on time and customers always know where things stand

· Leading and developing the Data Analyst team - setting goals, running performance conversations, and building capability across technical and soft skills

· Being the customer’s trusted point of contact throughout their implementation, from kick-off workshops and requirements gathering through to go-live

· Driving solutions when issues arise - unblocking your team, escalating early, and keeping momentum

· Continuously improving how we deliver - spotting inefficiencies in our implementation processes and working with the management team on workload forecasting and planning

· Feeding what you learn on the ground into product direction - identifying customer problems and recurring pain points across implementations that shape current and future platform development

This position is a fixed-term 12-month contract for maternity leave cover. There is the potential of continuing with Lutra past the fixed-term contract in a similar role for the right applicant as Lutra continues to grow, develop, and bring new products to market.

Skills and Experience

· Proven project management experience, ideally in a SaaS or technical implementation environment – you’ve owned and delivered customer-facing projects end to end

· Strong communication skills - you're comfortable in customer-facing situations and know how to tailor your message

· Real people leadership experience of managing and developing a team

· Data literacy – you’re comfortable dealing with a range of organisational data and can hold your own in technical conversations

· Comfortable getting deep into new software quickly to the level of understanding how it’s structured and configured to support how projects are tracked and managed

· Organisational rigour - you can juggle multiple projects and priorities without things slipping

· A self-starter mindset - you don't wait to be told what needs attention next

· Business analysis skills - requirements capturing, process and data mapping, workshop facilitation and documentation
