Sales Territory Manager

Sales Territory Manager
U-drain | British Columbia & Western U.S. Territory
Full-Time | Manitoba Head Office | Base Salary + Tiered Commission

Remote Location: Candidates based in British Columbia or the West Coast U.S. may be considered. Candidates must be located within or near the assigned territory and able to travel throughout British Columbia, California, Oregon, and Washington.

U-drain is a leader in high-performance linear slotted trench drain systems, serving commercial, agricultural, and residential markets across North America. With a strong focus on engineering, quality, and customer satisfaction, U-drain continues to expand its dealer network and market presence.

Your Mission

Your primary focus will be to grow U-drain's dealer network and sales within your territory.

You'll identify qualified dealer prospects, present the U-drain value proposition, secure new stocking dealers and initial stocking orders, and develop those relationships into long-term partnerships.

You'll work closely with the VP of Sales & Marketing to execute the company's sales strategy and identify opportunities to increase U-drain's presence throughout the Pacific region.

What You'll Do

Develop New Dealer Partnerships

  • Identify and pursue qualified stocking dealer opportunities
  • Build relationships with prospective dealers through phone, email, virtual meetings, and in-person visits
  • Present U-drain's products and value proposition to prospective partners
  • Secure new stocking dealers and initial stocking orders
  • Develop new territory opportunities in alignment with the company's sales strategy

Grow Existing Dealer Relationships

  • Build strong, long-term relationships with U-drain dealers
  • Maintain consistent communication and provide responsive support
  • Help dealers successfully grow their U-drain business
  • Identify opportunities to increase sales within existing accounts
  • Follow the sales strategy established with the VP of Sales & Marketing

Own Your Territory

  • Monitor market activity and identify opportunities for territory growth
  • Analyze sales trends and identify areas for improvement
  • Maintain an accurate CRM pipeline of prospects, opportunities, and dealer activity
  • Provide regular updates and sales reporting to the VP of Sales & Marketing
  • Respond to incoming quote requests accurately and promptly

Travel Expectations

Although the Sales Territory Manager role is headquartered in Manitoba, the primary focus will be on expanding and then supporting U-drain's dealer network throughout British Columbia and the Western United States, including California, Oregon, and Washington.

To effectively build and maintain strong dealer relationships and drive growth in these regions, the role requires travel up to 12 times annually, typically for approximately one week at a time. This equates to roughly 20-25% of the work year.

Travel will include:

  • On-site visits with prospective and existing dealers
  • Regional dealer meetings once the network is established
  • Select trade shows and industry events

Flexibility and comfort with travel are essential for success in this role.

For highly qualified and experienced candidates, a remote, in-territory work arrangement may be considered as an exception. Travel expectations would remain the same, except for travel within the candidate's local territory, which may involve shorter travel times.

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in territory sales, B2B sales, or dealer/distributor sales
  • Construction industry experience preferred
  • A proven track record of growing sales and developing dealer networks
  • Strong relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills
  • Confidence prospecting and developing new business
  • Strong self-discipline and the ability to manage a large geographic territory independently
  • Excellent organization and follow-through
  • Comfort working remotely while maintaining regular communication with leadership
  • Willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory
  • Valid driver's license
  • Valid passport and ability to travel between Canada and the U.S.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive base salary + tiered commission structure
  • Commission structure designed to reward sales growth
  • Company-provided phone
  • Company-provided laptop
  • Competitive benefits plan
  • Three weeks of paid vacation annually
  • Company-matched RRSP program, with a match of up to $1,000 per year
  • Supportive leadership and collaborative sales culture
  • Opportunity to play a key role in growing an established brand across new markets

Why This Opportunity?

This is an opportunity to take ownership of a significant territory and have a direct impact on U-drain's growth.

If you're an experienced B2B or territory salesperson who enjoys building relationships, developing markets, and seeing your work directly contribute to business growth, we'd like to hear from you.

Apply today and help U-drain build the future of drainage across Western Canada and the U.S.
