Your Role
As Security and Systems Engineer, you’ll play a key role in designing, implementing and evolving secure technology solutions across Five Group's on-premises and cloud environments. Working closely with Infrastructure Engineers and IT leaders, you'll drive security architecture initiatives, strengthen cyber resilience, and support the organisation’s transition toward modern SASE and Zero Trust security frameworks.
You’ll:
Lead the design and implementation of secure infrastructure and security architecture solutions across on-premises and cloud environments
Develop and enhance security standards, processes, monitoring capabilities and response frameworks
Partner with Infrastructure Engineers and IT leaders to deliver secure, scalable and fit-for-purpose technology solutions
Provide technical leadership, coaching and guidance on security best practices and infrastructure security
Lead critical technology uplift initiatives, including cloud adoption, infrastructure modernisation and security improvement projects
What You’ll Bring
Extensive experience in security systems implementation, infrastructure engineering, architecture and monitoring
Proven experience designing and deploying enterprise-grade infrastructure solutions across on-premises and cloud platforms, particularly Azure
Strong knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM), cybersecurity principles and security best practices
Experience managing Microsoft technologies, VMware environments, backup solutions, operating systems and enterprise networking technologies including Fortinet
Excellent stakeholder engagement, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to influence technical decisions and drive outcomes
