Security Architect
Salary: Eastern suburbs/WFH - on-site parking
We're partnering with a well-established utilities organisation seeking a Security Architect to join a supportive and collaborative team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their cyber security career, working alongside experienced architects and cyber security professionals who will provide mentoring and support.
You'll work across a variety of enterprise technology initiatives, ensuring security is embedded into solution design from the outset. Partnering with architects, project teams and cyber specialists, you'll assess solutions, identify risks and help deliver secure, resilient technology outcomes across the organisation.
Key activities
- Provide security architecture guidance across technology initiatives, ensuring solutions align with business objectives and security best practice.
- Review solution architectures across cloud, on-premise, SaaS, IT and OT environments to identify security risks and recommend appropriate controls.
- Contribute to security architecture, design reviews and security assurance activities.
- Assist in developing security reference architectures, standards and reusable design patterns.
- Support security roadmaps and initiatives that improve cyber resilience and long-term technology outcomes.
What You'll Bring
- Experience in cyber security, security engineering or security architecture.
- Strong understanding of cyber security principles and frameworks, including NIST CSF.
- Knowledge of Identity & Access Management (IAM), Zero Trust, Privileged Access Management (PAM), Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and Mobile Device Management (MDM).
- Understanding of data security, information protection and Privacy by Design.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- A proactive mindset with excellent problem-solving skills and a genuine desire to continue learning.
- Experience working within utilities, government or other highly regulated environments is desirable.
