Security Engineer
You will work across information security projects, gathering requirements, architecting and developing internal tools and infrastructure. You will proactively identify security flaws with software engineers, improve detection capabilities, and design defence-in-depth controls that limit attackers’ movement inside the network. You will also contribute to third-party security assessments and regulatory compliance activities.
Responsibilities
- Gather requirements for security projects
- Architect and prototype internal tools and infrastructure
- Develop internal tools and broader infrastructure with partner teams
- Proactively identify security flaws with software engineers
- Engineer technical defensive solutions
- Improve security detection capabilities
- Design defence-in-depth controls
- Assess third-party security
- Support information security compliance activities
Requirements
- Approximately one to three years’ experience in information security
- Proficiency in at least one statically typed language
- Knowledge of how systems are built and how to break them
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to write clearly and succinctly
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously and prioritise tasks
- Personal projects are desirable
- CTF experience is desirable
- Practical security certifications such as OSCP are desirable
