Security & Guest Services Officer
Summary
Security and guest services officer at Bear River Casino Resort, responsible for patrolling the property, observing and reporting incidents, safeguarding assets, responding to dispatch calls, and ensuring a safe, friendly environment for customers and employees.
Tribal Preference will be given in accordance with BRBRR Act Relating to Employment
POSITION SUMMARY: Following Security & Guest Services department procedures, works to ensure protection of company assets and safety of customers and employees.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following,
- Observes and reports incidents, procedure violations, or criminal activities as they arise.
- Creates a safe, friendly environment for customers and employees.
- Safeguards property assets.
- Write reports of daily activities, irregularities and incidents.
- Circulate among visitors, patrons and employees to preserve order and protect property.
- Warn persons of rule(s) infractions or violations, and apprehend or evict violators from premises, using force only when necessary to maintain a safe environment.
- Investigates and/or reports hazards, unusual, and/or suspicious circumstances to local police for correction or follow-up actions; maintains contact with police as necessary.
- Escorts people/property to desired destination when safety of property or persons are a concern.
- Responds to dispatch calls; decides what actions to take based on situation, facts known and position limitations.
- May assist law enforcement officers with crowd control and surveillance at large public events.
- Ensures customer needs are met, complaints are resolved and service is quick and efficient.
- Adheres to policies, procedures, and protocols that are approved for use by Bear River Casino Resort.
- Deals effectively with emotionally distraught and/or disorderly individuals from various socio-economic groups.
- Exercises sound independent judgement within established policy and procedural guidelines.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of the work.
- Must be willing to work all shifts, weekends and holidays as needed.
- Must complete, after hire, various training programs, such as CPR, first aid, and defensive tactics.
- Other duties may be assigned.
AUTHORITY/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Authority to observe and report all activities, incidents, or safety hazards to uphold the integrity of the casino. Under the guidance of the Shift Manager, responds to emergency situations as they arise.
