Security Officer
We are security of an experienced Security Officer to work on our campus in the evening and/or overnight hours. This position will work in both buildings: Mary Wade Healthcare which includes our Skilled Nursing Unit, Residential Care Home, and Adult Day. In addition, Chatham Place at Mary Wade which is our 84 apartment community of independent living and memory care.
Schedule: 36.50 hours per week including every other weekend. Flexibility with schedule is required
Shift Times: 4 pm to 12 am, 4pm to 8:30 pm and/or 12 am to 8am
Salary Range: Hourly Rate: $17.50 plus shift differentials
Job Requirements:
- Conduct safety and security inspection patrols throughout the facility.
- When not on patrol, is required to sit in the main lobby greets visitors, answers phone and monitor campus.
- Prepare incidents reports, as applicable.
- Ensure no safety or fire hazards exist.
- Patrol parking lot to ensure that perimeter has no suspicious activity, improperly parked vehicles and all exterior lights are working.
- Completes documentation in an accurate and timely fashion
- Prepare Incident Report concerning any unusual event that occurs during shift.
- Prepare Daily Activity Report (DAR)
- Temperature Reading Report
- Be on-time every time
- Be friendly, courteous and supportive to residents, families and coworkers
- Speak with respect and professionalism to all.
- Be kind and empathetic
- A valid CT Guard Card is preferred to be considered for the position.
- 2 years of prior Security Office experience is preferred.
- Experience in a skilled nursing facility is preferred.
