Security Officer
Summary
Part-time weekend Security Officer at a 24-hour Drop-In Center serving homeless adults in Staten Island. Duties include patrolling premises, monitoring surveillance cameras, inspecting the building, and conducting security screenings with a metal detector.
This part-time position is at our 24 hour Drop-In Center which caters to homeless adults. The available shifts are either:
6am-2pm Saturday and Sunday
OR
10pm-6am Saturday and Sunday
Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining a safe and secure environment for both Clients and staff
- Patrolling and monitoring premises
- Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property
- Inspecting both the interior and exterior of the building at regular intervals through shift
- Monitoring surveillance, permitting entry of all who wish to enter the facility
- Security checks of all clients entering the facility which includes monitoring the metal detector and using a handheld metal detector (wand)
