Senior Analyst, Actuarial
Job Description Summary
The incumbent is to provide actuarial support and analyses for business planning and reporting, based upon generally accepted actuarial principles, and under the direction and oversight of more senior level actuaries.Job Description
Responsibilities
- Perform RAFM model run to prepare and calculate projected cash flow, US GAAP reserves, intangibles, and other related items.
- Develop analysis to identify/explain the difference between US GAAP and IFRS17 results.
- Develop BAU process and well-structured movement analysis.
- Develop and maintain proper control and documentation.
- Support other ad hoc projects related to US GAAP reporting.
Requirements
- Degree holder in Actuarial Science/Mathematical/Risk Management, or related disciplines
- 5 years’ relevant experience in life insurance industry
- Strong insurance and actuarial knowledge
- Familiarity with Reserving and Financial Statements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and VBA
- Good time management and thrives working flexibly under challenging project based timescales
- Effective communication skills
- Good problem solving & analytical skills
- Independent, self-motivated and responsible
- Strong attention to detail and desire to produce a high quality work
- Strong desire to learn by working on project based new developments
