YOUR NEW ROLE

• BA liaison between Financial Crime Operations (FCO), Technology and the Business Product Owner for data delivery initiatives​
• Analyse as-is business processes, elicit requirements and produce approved specifications for technology applications and business processes​
• Perform requirements analysis across complex financial crime data sets including data profiling, source-to-target mapping and gap analysis​
• Maximise value by ensuring features and stories align to business outcomes; refine the backlog through prioritisation, estimation and decision making​
• Collaborate with Product Owner, BA team, Solution Architects and Scrum Teams to refine and socialise detailed requirements​
• Support Developers, Engineers and QE in understanding requirements so they can deliver on commitments​
• This is a BA role with strong data analysis capabilities – not a Data Engineer role
• Proven experience analysing complex, high-volume data sets using SQL (Postgres) and/or Python​
• Hands-on experience with relational databases (Postgres, Oracle)​
• Expertise in data profiling and source data quality analysis​
• Source-to-target data mapping and defining transformation rules​
• Full testing lifecycle involvement – UAT/BVT test cases, execution and evidence capture​
• Issue/incident analysis and root cause identification​
• Translate business requirements into data and technical deliverables​
• Keen on using AI tools to improve processes / save time / increase quality​
• Strong stakeholder communication; resolve blockers ensuring speed to outcome​

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Business Analyst​
• Understanding of Financial Products, processes and systems​
• Solid understanding of data and technical concepts; big data implementation strategies​
• Good to have experience in Core banking data/technology systems,​
• Data models and entity relationships​
• Proven ability to independently deliver multiple initiatives as Lead/Senior BA​
• Data Analysis, Mapping and Profiling using PostGres SQL and JupyterLab notebooks​
• Strong analytical skills and evidence-based decision making​
• Stakeholder partnerships; comfortable with ambiguity​
• Requirements analysis (scenario, policy, customer, data, gap, change) to articulate business needs for financial crime data initiatives​
• Analyse complex, high-volume data sets; perform data profiling, source-to-target mapping and gap analysis​
• Prepare detailed business requirements documentation​
• Write UAT/BVT test cases and scenarios, execute tests and capture evidence​
• Analyse incidents, identify root causes and support resolution with operational teams​
• Produce As-Is/To-Be Process Maps; develop process models, data models, business rules and related outputs​
• Capture and groom requirements into features, epics & tasks incl. dependencies in collaboration with squads​
• Assist Product Owner to define business value and outcomes​
• Translate end user/customer insights into features, epics & tasks​
• Lead workshops across cross-functional business and technology teams​
• Analyse impact of proposed solutions to support change with Business Impact Assessments​
• Support backlog implementation aligned to domains and business outcomes​
• Proactively manage risk, meeting all policy, control and compliance requirements; escalate issues as identified
