Senior Analyst Programmer / Analyst Programmer (Financial Information System) (26270123)
Reporting to the Senior Information Technology Manager in the Office of Information Technology (Applications and Integration Services), the appointee is responsible for the development and support of Financial Information Systems as well as different projects of the University.
Responsibilities:
- Assist supervisor in IT projects implementation and support involving vendor solution;
- Assist supervisor in feasibility study, PoC/technical demonstration, documentation, testing, training and deployment to fulfil the business requirements and target outcomes;
- Work as a team and responsible for web application development;
- Ongoing systems monitoring, maintenance, and support; and
- Support any other IT projects and tasks as directed.
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related discipline;
- At least 4 years of system development experience in software development and system integration;
- Hands-on experience in using Java/JEE as development programming languages is a must;
- Relevant skills and experience in:
- Project implementation experience including vendor solutions.
- EJB technologies, Development Framework and programming in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSF, AJAX, React, Python, Node.js, Spring Boot, SQL, PL/SQL, and Linux/Unix shell scripting.
- Working with RDBMS such as Sybase, MySQL, MSSQL, and Oracle.
- Using web application servers such as Oracle Weblogic Server, and Apache.
- Knowledge in Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle Forms/Reports, Powerbuilder, MS Power Platform and ETL tool.
- Prior experience with Finance Information Systems will be highly desirable;
- Experience in using AI tools for software development is an advantage;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Good command of both written and spoken English and Cantonese; and
- Fast learner with a can-do attitude, and the ability to work well in a team environment while also being capable of working independently.
Candidates with less experience or lower qualifications will be considered for the position of Analyst Programmer.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of one and a half years.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
