Senior Android Engineer (Android TV/Embedded)
We are seeking a Senior Android Engineer to help deliver an MVP for a dual-display TV experience, where one APK controls two screens and enables interactive second-screen features. Responsibilities
- Design system components that support a dual-display Android TV experience
- Build and integrate drivers and platform components across the stack
- Implement updates within AOSP frameworks to enable device capabilities
- Debug multi-component issues spanning kernel, Trust Zone, and user space
- Tune performance using Android and Linux performance tools
- Stand up new devices and validate end-to-end functionality
- Coordinate with a distributed agile team through bi-weekly iterations and daily syncs
Requirements
- 3+ years of Android development experience
- Hands-on Android TV development experience
- Embedded Systems development experience
- Strong Android NDK experience
- Strong Kotlin development skills
- Hands-on system debugging skills across kernel to application layers
- Upper-Intermediate English proficiency (B2)
Nice to have
- Android SDK experience
- Knowledge of Linux
- Familiarity with Linux kernel
