Senior Automation Tester (Java)

We are seeking a talented Senior Automation Tester in Java to join our team.

In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our applications across the full development lifecycle. You will collaborate closely with development, DevOps, and product teams to drive automation initiatives and elevate overall testing practices.

Responsibilities

• Write functional, integration, and acceptance test cases to validate system behavior
• Automate test cases for regression testing, functional testing, and smoke testing
• Plan and execute automation tasks while ensuring testing standards are followed within the team
• Integrate test cycles with the DevOps pipeline for continuous quality assurance
• Work creatively and efficiently to troubleshoot and resolve system issues
• Automate testing for back-end services such as REST APIs as well as front-end components
• Document and report defects clearly for effective issue tracking
• Manage test data and test environments to support reliable test execution
• Handle test script version management to maintain code integrity across releases

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or a similar field
• At least 3 years of professional relevant experience in Quality Assurance, with hands-on background in test automation development or a combination of development and testing experience
• Experience in REST and SOAP API testing, preferably using SOAPUI and Groovy scripting
• Practical experience with Cucumber for behavior-driven testing
• Strong programming skills in Java for building automation frameworks and scripts
• Experience with Selenium or similar tools for UI automation
• Hands-on background creating and maintaining automation scripts to ensure that information systems services and programs meet acceptance criteria
• Experience working in Agile methodology environments
• Strong analytical thinking with excellent organizational and troubleshooting skills
• Solid experience in functional, integration, and regression testing
• Background in writing unit tests to cover robustness, edge cases, usability, and general reliability
• Good working knowledge of manual testing techniques
• Experience integrating test suites with CI/CD pipelines
• English at B2 level or higher, with strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice to have

• Prior experience in the Financial Services and/or Wealth Management industry
• Familiarity with Apache Maven for project build and dependency management
• Experience with Gradle for build automation
• Exposure to Mainframe systems and related testing workflows
