Senior Business Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in bridging business needs and technical solutions across the software development lifecycle. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality delivery and effective validation of business requirements.

Responsibilities

• Understand and adapt to the work process according to the software development lifecycle used in the project, whether Waterfall, Agile, or RUP
• Analyze and interpret input documents such as use cases and functional specifications aligned with the chosen software development lifecycle
• Identify and document functional gaps within input documentation, including use cases, requirements, and functional specifications
• Build a test matrix to ensure full traceability between requirements and test coverage
• Identify relevant test scenarios based on the project's functional scope
• Develop test cases for specific functionalities and project deliverables
• Execute test cases within the timelines and cycles defined by the project
• Report defects promptly, document them according to project standards, and follow up until resolution
• Suggest improvements to functional testing processes based on observations and analysis
• Report test metrics to provide visibility into quality and project progress

Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in business analysis or a similar area
• Ability to understand and adapt to the work process according to the software development lifecycle in use
• Skill in analyzing and interpreting input documents such as use cases and functional specifications
• Experience identifying and documenting functional gaps in input documentation, including use cases, requirements, and functional specifications
• Capability to build a test matrix to ensure traceability between requirements and testing activities
• Ability to identify test scenarios and design corresponding test cases for specific functionalities
• Experience executing test cases within project-defined cycles
• Skill in reporting defects, documenting them in detail, and following through until resolution
• Ability to suggest improvements to functional testing processes to enhance quality and efficiency
• Experience reporting test metrics to communicate project quality and status
• Hands-on experience with Jira for task tracking, backlog management, and defect reporting
• Fluent English skills, both written and spoken, at a B2+ level or higher

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies for iterative and collaborative software delivery
• Experience with the IBM Rational Unified Process (RUP) for structured and phased development
• Knowledge of the Waterfall methodology for sequential and plan-driven project execution
