Senior Certification Engineer

Introduction & Summary:

The Senior Certification Engineer will be instrumental in overseeing product certification activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory and industry standards. This role demands a thorough understanding of certification processes across product lifecycles and significant hands-on experience in automotive infotainment technologies.

Main Responsibilities:

The core duties involve managing certification processes, coordinating with testing labs, and ensuring adherence to required standards.

• Manage certification portals (Google, Apple MFi, USB-IF, Bluetooth SIG, Wi-Fi Alliance).
• Coordinate with authorized test labs.
• Prepare, maintain, and submit HUCD, GTM files, and compliance reports.
• Analyze certification requirements and execute both automated and manual tests.
• Conduct certifying tests on AA, CP, BT, Wi-Fi, iAP2 on both bench and in-vehicle setups.
• Raise and maintain the bug lifecycle.
• Track AA/CP/Wi-Fi/USB changes and analyze reported failures.
• Enhance certification processes, documentation, and test automation.
• Mentor junior engineers, reviewing their work on certification projects.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics/Computer Science.
• 4 to 6 years of experience in Certification Testing.
• Experience in automotive infotainment modules (Bluetooth, Media, AA, CP, USB, RADIO, DAB).
• Capability in developing test plans and executing compliant functional tests.
• Experience in AA/CP Functional & UX Testing.
• Skills in USB Electrical, Protocol, PD, and Signal Integrity tests.
• Experience conducting Bluetooth RF protocol tests.
• Familiarity with Wi-Fi RF performance and testing protocols.
• Knowledge of iAP2 communication protocol tests.
• Proficient with testing tools such as Ellisys, Beagle, PTS suite, Wi-Fi sniffers.
• Working knowledge of the CAN/UDS protocols.
• Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence & ALM tools.
• Strong knowledge of infotainment ECUs and certification requirements.
• Experience with system validation for infotainment systems.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with vector tools like CANcase and Canalyzer.
• Familiarity with STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle).
• Experience in ASPICE SYS5.
• Experience in System validation processes.

Other Details:

This is a full-time position based in Pune, with an unlimited term contract. No travel is required for this role.
