About the project

The project focuses on building and operating a cloud Resource Provider — a set of cloud-native services that provision, manage, and secure large-scale compute infrastructure. The team owns the service end to end: designing and developing the platform, keeping it healthy in production, and continuously strengthening its security posture at the host and infrastructure level.
This is a DRI (Directly Responsible Individual) role with 12x7 coverage, so live-site ownership is a core part of the job alongside feature development. Work is carried out in a fast-paced, agile environment with frequent releases, while maintaining a focus on reliability, security, and long-term impact.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software or cloud engineering
• Strong core C# and .NET proficiency
• Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining cloud-native applications using Azure (Web APIs, WebJobs, Service Bus, Key Vault, Azure Storage, Cosmos DB, and Redis)
• Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and mitigate live production service issues
• Strong foundation in secure coding practices, application security, and a threat-aware engineering mindset
• Solid understanding of cloud networking, security, and infrastructure
• Experience with production cloud environments, automation, and deployment
• Ability to own technical initiatives and make sound technical decisions
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Nice to have

• Experience with host attestation, compute firewall management, or platform security (e.g., enterprise hardware security such as Dell PowerEdge attestation)
• Hands-on experience building or configuring anomaly detection, alerting systems, and automated incident triage
• Advanced knowledge of Azure security posture, identity management, and compliance tools
• Experience applying AI/ML solutions to enhance security monitoring and threat detection
• Knowledge of Golang
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring tools, and security auditing

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain C#/.NET cloud-native services on Azure (Web APIs, WebJobs, Service Bus, Key Vault, Storage, Cosmos DB, Redis)
• Act as a DRI for the service: monitor health, investigate incidents, and mitigate live-site issues within 12x7 coverage
• Lead troubleshooting of complex application and cloud infrastructure issues
• Drive automation, deployment, reliability, and security improvements across the platform
• Strengthen the service's security posture — secure coding, threat modeling, anomaly detection, and alerting
• Contribute to architecture and technical decisions
• Support code quality through code reviews and knowledge sharing, and mentor engineers on the team
• Collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders to deliver technical solutions

Availability expectations

• PST business hours
• Participation in a 12x7 DRI rotation for live-site support

Base compensation

• Salary Range: $55 – $65 per hour
• Paid vacation and sick leave
