Senior Construction Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead PMC oversight of all construction activities and ensure effective project delivery.
- Manage and monitor Contractor and CSC performance against contractual, technical, quality, schedule, and HSE requirements.
- Ensure construction works comply with approved designs, specifications, standards, project programme, and quality requirements.
- Oversee construction activities covering roads, wet utilities, dry utilities, electrical, telecommunications, street lighting, and firefighting infrastructure.
- Review construction methodologies, sequencing, work plans, logistics, and site readiness.
- Monitor construction progress, productivity, resources, and site constraints.
- Lead coordination and management of multidisciplinary and package interfaces.
- Coordinate with Planning, Commercial, Contracts, QA/QC, HSE, and Logistics functions.
- Lead construction progress, coordination, and interface meetings with the Contractor, CSC, and relevant stakeholders.
- Review and facilitate resolution of RFIs, technical queries, design issues, and constructability challenges.
- Identify construction risks, monitor potential impacts, and ensure appropriate mitigation measures are implemented.
- Monitor Contractor readiness for testing and commissioning activities.
- Lead construction completion, inspections, snagging, close-out, and handover activities.
- Monitor Contractor performance and provide timely recommendations to PMC and Client management.
- Prepare construction performance reports, progress updates, and recommendations for the Client.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or another relevant Engineering discipline.
- 15–22 years of total professional experience.
- Proven experience managing major infrastructure, urban development, or mixed-use development projects.
- Strong experience with Design & Build (D&B) infrastructure packages.
- Previous experience with a reputable PMC or engineering consultancy is preferred.
- Strong experience managing Contractors and Construction Supervision Consultants.
- Proven experience in roads, utilities, electrical, telecommunications, street lighting, and related infrastructure works.
- Strong knowledge of construction management, project coordination, quality, programme, HSE, and contractual requirements.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Saudi Council of Engineers registration is required/preferred as applicable to the project.
