Senior Data Analyst in Content Data

emagine is looking for a Senior data analyst for our client in the Media industry

Start: ASAP (Cover a parental leave for 6-12 month)

Location: Stockholm, hybrid

This is a Replacement for a Senior Data Analyst in Content Data. The client need someone who can hit the ground running and work independently from the start. The ideal candidate can support traditional data analysis and experimentation, while also contributing to data engineering tasks when needed.

Responsibilities

• Primarily support the Text Experience team, while also supporting other teams within Content Data (e.g. Video and Audio)

• Support and guide a more junior Data Analyst in Text Experience

• Design, run, and evaluate experiments at scale.

• Identify opportunities to improve user experience, engagement, and business performance

• Contribute to data modelling and other data engineering tasks when needed

• Act as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to product, editorial, and decision makers

• Independently drive complex analyses from problem definition to recommendation

• Turn content and audience data into actionable insights

• Define KPIs and maintain dashboards, reports, and feedback loops

• Analyse engagement, user behaviour, and traffic sources

• Support data quality, consistent metric definitions, and data literacy

• Contribute to the development of the analytics discipline and strengthen the data driven culture
  
  Competence

• Able to work independently, take ownership, and support others

• At least five years of experience in similar roles, or equivalent competence

• Advanced knowledge of SQL, dbt, and Snowflake

• Experience with Superset, Amplitude, Kilkaya, or similar analytics tools (we use these in Product right now, but it is an ever evolving landscape)

• Strong knowledge of statistical analysis, data modelling, and experiment design

• Experience with Python or a similar programming language

• Experience with agentic development is a big plus

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

• Ability to connect data insights to editorial, product, and business goals

• Experience from the media industry is an advantage
