It is headquartered in Melbourne and employs nearly 1500 staff in all 6 Australian states and 2 territories. As a national life insurance provider managing over 1 million policyholders, their coverage spans the entire country.

About the role

Because of their immense growth in their Data Engineering portfolio, an exciting opportunity has come up in one of their Sydney offices. Are you an experienced Senior Data Engineer looking to make a direct impact on a business-critical integration project? This newly created permanent role offers the opportunity to design and deliver enterprise-level data solutions, modernise a modern data platform, and enable smarter, data-driven decision-making across the organisation.

What You Will Do:

• Design, build, and optimise robust data pipelines using SQL Server, Informatica IICS, and Snowflake.
• Develop scalable ETL/ELT solutions and build modern data warehouses.
• Drive improvements in data quality, governance, and platform performance.
• Partner directly with business stakeholders to deliver high-impact data solutions.
• Champion best practices across data engineering, data modelling, and system integration.

What You Need to Apply for This Role:

• Extensive, hands-on experience with SQL Server and Informatica IICS (essential).
• Proven experience with Snowflake and data warehousing concepts.
• Strong expertise in ETL/ELT architecture and complex data modelling.
• Practical exposure to cloud environments such as Azure or AWS.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
