Senior Data Engineer – SQL / ETL Data Migration

Salary: $1000-$1100 per day +

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join a major enterprise data migration program with a Top ASX listed organsiation with an immediate start. This is a hands-on SQL Server and ETL engineering role, migrating data from multiple legacy platforms into a modern enterprise CRM environment. The key requirements are advanced SQL Server, stored procedures, ETL and complex enterprise data migration experience. Previous Salesforce or CRM migration experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build end-to-end ETL pipelines supporting a large-scale CRM migration

• Extract and migrate data from multiple legacy and enterprise source systems

• Develop and optimise complex SQL Server stored procedures

• Build sophisticated transformation, mapping and data-processing logic

• Implement source-to-target mappings and reusable migration frameworks

• Profile, cleanse, standardise and remediate complex data

• Build automated validation, reconciliation, audit and data-quality controls

• Investigate failed records, migration exceptions and data-quality issues

• Support migration rehearsals, performance testing, cutover and post-load remediation

• Work closely with CRM, integration, business and upstream data teams

• Contribute to migration standards, controls and engineering practices

Key skills and experience

• Strong senior-level data engineering and enterprise data migration experience

• Demonstrated experience delivering complex migrations involving multiple source systems

• Advanced SQL Server and T-SQL capability

• Strong experience writing, debugging and optimising complex stored procedures

• Experience developing and orchestrating ETL pipelines using SSIS or an equivalent enterprise integration tool

• Strong source-to-target mapping and transformation experience

• Strong data profiling, cleansing, validation and reconciliation capability

• Experience investigating migration defects, failed records and data anomalies

• Experience supporting migration rehearsals, cutover and post-load validation

• Proven delivery within a large enterprise or regulated environment

• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Informatica, Talend or similar tools is beneficial

• Salesforce, CRM or SaaS data migration experience is highly desirable
