Senior Data Scientist / Analyst, Markets

You build infrastructure for understanding market health, model liquidity dynamics, and analyze the factors that drive healthy order flow. You own analytics for liquidity rewards and rebate programs, create recurring market performance reporting, audit new listings, diagnose underperforming markets, track competitive coverage, and develop frameworks for evaluating market quality. You scope ambiguous data questions, identify instrumentation gaps, collaborate with engineering, and document analyses clearly from end to end.

Responsibilities

• Model liquidity dynamics across markets to identify drivers of healthy order flow and inform liquidity rewards
• Own analytics for liquidity rewards and rebate programs, including payouts, depth, spreads, maker behavior, incentive pricing, and program gaming
• Build and maintain recurring reporting on market health and market-by-market performance
• Audit new market listings against historical and comparable data and recommend approval, adjustment, or rejection
• Diagnose underperforming markets and identify root causes
• Track competitive listing coverage and prioritize meaningful catalog gaps
• Develop frameworks for evaluating market quality across listings and product decisions
• Scope data questions, prioritize them, and deliver decision-ready outputs
• Identify data collection and instrumentation gaps and work with engineering to address them
• Document analyses clearly and thoroughly

Requirements

• 7+ years in analytics, data science, market operations, or exchange strategy
• Expert SQL
• Strong Python for data analysis, statistical modeling, and large datasets
• Deep knowledge of market structure, order books, spreads, liquidity provision, and market design
• Ability to reason about incentive design and participant behavior
• Experience owning analyses from scoping through actionable delivery
• Ability to set priorities and work independently in a non-data team
• High accuracy standards
• Ability to operate in a fast-moving environment with frequently changing business logic
• Experience at a prediction market platform, trading firm, or fund near market structure or liquidity questions
• Familiarity with automated market makers, CLOB mechanics, or decentralized exchange design
• Experience building or evaluating liquidity incentive programs
• Familiarity with on-chain data or blockchain analytics
