Senior Design Manager - Data Center
We are seeking a Senior Design Manager for our Data Center based in Doha, Qatar. In this strategic leadership role, you will oversee the design and planning of complex data center infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and industry standards. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage project portfolios, and drive innovation in data center design while maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
- Lead and manage the design phase of large-scale data center projects from conception through implementation, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and specifications
- Develop comprehensive design strategies and project plans that align with organizational goals and stakeholder requirements
- Oversee and mentor a team of design professionals, providing technical guidance, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities
- Coordinate with PMC stakeholders, architects, engineers, and vendors to ensure seamless project execution and effective communication
- Analyze project requirements and constraints to identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and implement solutions proactively
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations
- Manage design documentation, specifications, and technical drawings to maintain accuracy and consistency across all project phases
- Monitor project performance metrics and KPIs, providing regular status reports and recommendations to senior leadership
- Evaluate emerging technologies and design methodologies to enhance operational efficiency and project outcomes
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings and presentations to communicate design concepts, progress updates, and project decisions
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in data center / mission critical / industrial design, management, or related project management roles
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing the design delivery of Design & Build projects from concept through construction, commissioning, and handover.
- Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure systems including cooling, power distribution, and network architecture
- Preferred: Experience managing data center projects in the Middle East region
