Senior Director Business Development Travel
You will acquire new B2B travel clients in Europe and generate incremental revenue. You will analyze client businesses and performance, build relationships across the travel ecosystem, develop and convert sales opportunities, negotiate with decision-makers, close enterprise deals, and achieve customer flow, revenue, and profitability targets.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate effectiveness across B2B travel virtual card and payment solutions
- Identify, secure, and manage relationships with prospects across Europe
- Negotiate with potential clients and persuade them of the value Nium adds to their business
- Exceed financial targets and generate sales leads
- Negotiate and close transactions
- Generate client revenue and achieve customer flow, revenue, and profitability targets
- Use business development and consultative selling skills to meet or exceed financial and customer satisfaction goals
- Hunt for marketplace opportunities through direct contact and partners
- Build relationships with key players in the travel ecosystem
- Generate qualified opportunities
- Map accounts and influence key decision-makers
- Communicate the value proposition and close deals
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in B2B sales or business development within payments, fintech, or travel
- Strong network and understanding of OTAs, bedbanks, TMCs, airlines, or travel technology platforms
- Proven track record of closing enterprise deals and exceeding revenue targets in Europe
- Experience selling payment, card, or financial solutions to travel companies
- Strong commercial negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Results-driven ability to independently build and convert a sales pipeline
