What you’ll do:
As software is playing an increasingly significant role in enabling digital consumer experiences, we are gearing up to become more agile, faster in responding to market demands and quicker in identifying new market opportunities. This involves elevating our appliances to digital, software-defined products in a seamless integration of modular electronics, software, and connectivity platform.
In detail, you will:
- Develop software using a modern tech stack for connected appliances, with a primary focus on the logic needed to control and optimize how the appliance capabilities can be utilized to provide the best possible user experience.
- Ship small reliable frequent releases of production grade software together with the rest of the team.
- Create and maintain modularized software that is scalable to different product capabilities, compute capabilities, brands, and markets.
- Layered software architecture for embedded systems with different chipset performance and configurable capabilities.
- Simulation and sandbox technology for rapid software development of embedded products.
- Build pipeline, code analysis, feature flag and analytics tools for modern embedded development.
- Service based architectures and pub/sub patterns used in multi-threaded embedded execution.
- Work together with other developers, testers, designers, and product managers with shared responsibility for the teams’ success.
- Make our team be the model for a the new normal in appliance application development.
As part of the culture of continuous improvement, you will be involved in Lean Thinking projects and activities (EMS/EAI).
Who you are:
- Bachelor/Master degree in electronic engineering or computer science or similar software related education.
- You have several years’ experience in developing application code for embedded devices.
- You have experience in developing software applications for embedded internet devices that are frequently updated in production.
- You have experience in developing high abstraction level code with significant use of existing frameworks in C or C++ for embedded devices.
- Effectively exchanges information and ideas with confidence and respect, able to demonstrate progress, raise issues and articulate changes on a frequent basis.
- Accountable, reliable, and proactive in building systems and handling dependencies, contributing to a trustworthy and effective team dynamic.
- English mandatory.

You will be based at the Guabirotuba plant in Curitiba. One of the focal points for all Latin American Electrolux operations, this plant is the base for over 3200 collaborators, all focused on transforming the way the world lives by shaping lives for the better with their work.
