Senior Engineer Mobile Software Development Android

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain Android applications using Kotlin and Java.
Build reusable, testable, and maintainable application components.
Apply MVVM or MVI architectural patterns.
Integrate RESTful APIs using Retrofit.
Work with Android SDK components and Jetpack libraries.
Follow SOLID principles, clean-code practices, and established design patterns.
Write unit and integration tests.
Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and sprint planning.
Support CI/CD pipelines and application releases.
Investigate and resolve performance issues, crashes, and defects.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
Approximately 3+ years of Android development experience.
Strong knowledge of Kotlin, Java, Android SDK.
Strong understanding of the Android lifecycle, including activities, fragments, Compose lifecycle, and lifecycle-aware components.
Practical experience with MVVM or MVI.
Experience integrating APIs using Retrofit.
Strong knowledge of caching mechanisms using Room, shared preferences, and files.
Strong knowledge of Kotlin Coroutines and Flow for handling asynchronous operations and reactive state management.
Understanding of software architecture, SOLID principles, and common design patterns.
Familiarity with Git, automated testing, and CI/CD processes.
Good problem-solving and communication skills.
Experience integrating Firebase services, particularly Firebase Crashlytics, to monitor, investigate, and resolve application crashes.
Knowledge of mobile application security best practices, including secure data storage (e.g., encrypted shared preferences, Android Keystore), secure network communication (HTTPS/TLS, certificate pinning), and protection against common vulnerabilities.
