Senior / Engineer, Network Engineering
The incumbent is responsible for the design, implementation, configuration, integration, testing and commissioning of network and systems infrastructure supporting ELV and infrastructure projects. The role requires strong hands-on competency in enterprise networking, servers, GPON and system integration, including the design and implementation of High Availability (HA), redundancy and failover requirements to ensure reliable and resilient system operation.
Job Description:
- Design, implement, configure, test and commission network and systems infrastructure for ELV and infrastructure projects.
- Develop and review network architecture, including topology, IP addressing, subnetting, VLANs, routing, bandwidth and redundancy requirements.
- Configure and troubleshoot Layer 2/3 managed switches, including VLANs, trunking, STP/RSTP/MSTP, LACP, switch stacking and routing.
- Configure and troubleshoot routers, firewalls and network security policies, including segmentation, access control and secure system connectivity.
- Design and implement High Availability (HA) and network redundancy, including redundant paths, uplinks, switch stacking, link aggregation and failover mechanisms.
- Install, configure and troubleshoot physical and virtual servers, including Windows Server, virtualization, NIC teaming, storage and RAID.
- Support the design, configuration and troubleshooting of GPON and fibre infrastructure, including OLT, ONT/ONU and optical splitters.
- Integrate network and server infrastructure with ELV systems including CCTV, VMS, Access Control, Intrusion Detection and other IP-based systems.
- Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis across network, server and application layers, coordinating with vendors/principals where required.
- Conduct and support UAT, SAT, integration testing, performance testing and system commissioning.
- Review technical designs to identify capacity constraints, compatibility issues, cybersecurity risks, single points of failure and other technical risks.
