Senior Financial Crime Intelligence Analyst - Crypto

You will review sanctions and watchlist screening alerts and lead end-to-end financial crime investigations arising from transaction monitoring, trade surveillance, payment screening, blockchain analytics, and other triggers. You will focus primarily on digital assets while supporting investigations involving fiat currency. You will draft Suspicious Activity Reports, test transaction-monitoring rule changes, coach junior colleagues, and identify workflow, automation, and control improvements.

Responsibilities

• Review sanctions and watchlist screening alerts for entities and individuals.
• Manage end-to-end financial crime investigations from transaction monitoring, trade surveillance, payment screening, blockchain analytics, and other triggers.
• Identify workflow and business-process improvements using AI tools and automation.
• Receive escalations from and coach junior team members.
• Draft Suspicious Activity Reports for submission to relevant authorities.
• Identify and test changes to transaction-monitoring rules with relevant colleagues.
• Escalate opportunities to enhance the control environment.

Requirements

• Have at least 3 years of crypto transaction-monitoring experience in a regulated institution or digital-assets setting.
• Have B2B experience.
• Have experience reviewing sanctions and watchlist screening alerts in a regulated institution or digital-assets setting.
• Have experience using Chainalysis, Elliptic, TRM, or equivalent tools.
• Have experience using AI tools and technologies to streamline processes, automate routine tasks, and improve operations.
• Have strong knowledge of AML/CTF regulations, financial crime typologies, and risk-based compliance frameworks.
• Have drafted and submitted Suspicious Activity Reports.
• Have exceptional written and verbal English.
• Be able to work full time from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. CEST.
