Senior Frontend Engineer (React/TypeScript)
JOB OVERVIEW
Plan A Technologies is looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to build and modernize a digital signage and scoreboard platform for in casino table gaming products from the ground up. In this role, you will play a key part in enhancing player engagement and ensuring operational stability in a 24/7 environment.
This is a brand-new, greenfield project with zero legacy code maintenance. You will be responsible for building a suite of dynamically loadable Web Components for Chrome Web View based signage displays, as well as developing a modern Admin UI application built with React and TypeScript that interfaces with backend REST APIs.
Please note: you must have at least 5+ years of experience with React and TypeScript to be considered for this role.
JOB RESPONSIBILITY
Digital Signage Development: Design and build dynamically loadable Web Components using native HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for deployment within a Chrome Web View environment.
Admin Application UI: Develop a modern, responsive Admin UI using React and TypeScript to streamline system configuration and management.
API Integration: Connect the Admin UI seamlessly with backend RESTful APIs to handle real-time data and configuration updates.
Greenfield Architecture: Write clean, modular, and performant code from scratch, establishing solid frontend practices for new digital signage features.
Stability & Performance: Ensure high reliability, rendering efficiency, and operational stability for live table-side displays.
EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong expertise in native HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
Solid experience building web applications using React and TypeScript.
Practical experience consuming and integrating with RESTful APIs.
Excellent written and verbal English and communication skills.
Able to work both independently and as a member of a geographically dispersed team
Initiative and drive to do great things.
Nice to Have
Prior experience with digital signage, kiosk interfaces, or gaming/hospitality display systems.
Hands-on experience developing Web Components (Custom Elements, Shadow DOM).
Knowledge of performance tuning for real-time web UI updates in high-visibility environments..
