Senior GIS Analyst
Salary: 100hr
We are looking for a Senior Geospatial Application Developer to help build a new GIS-based planning application.This is more than a traditional GIS role. You will be responsible for designing, developing and improving a digital product that brings together spatial data, planning workflows and business requirements.
The solution will be built using the Esri/ArcGIS platform, including ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Server, Portal, Experience Builder, Survey123, dashboards and enterprise geodatabases.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop a complex ArcGIS-based application.
- Build and configure workflows using ArcGIS Experience Builder and Survey123.
- Work with enterprise geodatabases, feature services and spatial data.
- Develop and maintain geospatial data models.
- Use Python, ArcPy and ArcGIS API for Python to automate processes and data workflows.
- Develop tools for data validation, QA, reporting and regular data updates.
- Provide technical and solution architecture advice around performance, security and scalability.
- Work closely with GIS specialists, planners, architects and business stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
- Support testing, deployment and ongoing improvements.
- Produce clear technical and support documentation.
- 8+ years' experience in geospatial/GIS development.
- Strong experience with Esri and ArcGIS Enterprise.
- Experience with ArcGIS Server, Portal, Experience Builder and enterprise geodatabases.
- Strong Python skills, particularly ArcPy and ArcGIS API for Python.
- Experience building/configuring GIS applications rather than just producing maps.
- Strong understanding of spatial and relational data modelling.
- Good knowledge of application architecture and solution design.
- Strong stakeholder and communication skills.
- Experience working in agile or product-focused environments.
