Senior Graphic Designer
Job purpose
Create visually appealing and effective designs to convey messages or concepts. Develop layouts, select colors and fonts, and utilize design software to produce various visual materials, such as advertisements, brochures, and digital content, that align with the client's or company's brand identity and communication goals.
Key accountability areas
Design conceptualization and preparation:
Conceptualize ideas and craft designs for print materials requested by diverse clients within the company. Develop corporate identities for various purposes, spanning from advertising to major publications.
Stylistic determination and production alignment:
Define styles and techniques to achieve desired outcomes that comply with production requirements. Conceive and assess design concepts, providing creative ideas and guidance to designers. Offer constructive feedback for improvement.
Client interaction and job discussion:
Conduct meetings with clients or marketing managers to discuss job objectives and mandatory requirements. Comprehend the client's business needs, crafting concepts aligned with their objectives for the printing team.
Design implementation and quality assurance:
Execute designs or delegate artwork requisitions to designers as necessary. Establish delivery schedules for each task. Scrutinize work before printing to ensure adherence to quality standards.
Supervision and quality control:
Occasionally visit the printing press to supervise the quality of printed artworks.
Photography coordination:
Assess suggestions from photographers regarding product photography.
Role accountability
HR proficiency:
Train subordinates and form a team to work effectively.
Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to subordinates in all aspects of their work.
Delegate assignments to subordinates.
Ensure fair distribution of tasks to maintain morale and motivation of subordinates.
Delivery:
Perform planned activities to meet operational and development targets as per delivery schedules.
Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time.
Provide periodic reports detailing deviations and execution of planned tasks.
Problem-solving:
Resolve any related problems that arise and escalate any complex operational issues.
Quality:
Ensure quality requirements to develop effective quality control and processes including specifications for products, processes, or related activities.
Business process improvements:
Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seek automation opportunities as much as possible.
Compliance:
Comply with related policies, procedures, and work instructions.
Safety:
Ensure compliance with relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within defined areas of work activity to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and delivery of high-quality products and services.

Bachelor degree in design
