Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer
Job Duties:
- Design, implement, and support enterprise IT infrastructure across network, server, virtualization, and cloud environments.
- Implement, operate, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure, including routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, NAC, load balancers, and wired/wireless networks.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Windows Server, Linux, VMware/Hyper-V, and enterprise storage platforms.
- Administer and support Microsoft 365 and hybrid identity environments, including Entra ID, Intune, Exchange Online, and Microsoft Teams.
- Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis (RCA) for complex infrastructure, systems, and network issues.
- Implement and maintain security controls, including network segmentation, system hardening, patch management, vulnerability remediation, and access management.
- Manage infrastructure monitoring platforms such as Zabbix, Grafana, PRTG, and Nagios, including performance tuning and alert optimization.
- Support ITSM processes including incident, problem, change, and service request management.
- Maintain infrastructure documentation, asset inventory, lifecycle management records, and operational procedures.
- Manage infrastructure vendors, support contracts, SLAs, and infrastructure-related projects.
- Provide escalation support for L2/L3 infrastructure and end-user computing issues.
- Participate in after-hours maintenance activities and on-call support rotations when required.
Job Requirements:
- Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 - 7 years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems, and network engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with enterprise firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet), including policy management, VPN, NAT, and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise networking, including routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, and NAC.
- Experience supporting Windows Server, Linux, VMware/Hyper-V, and Microsoft 365 environments.
- Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring tools such as Zabbix, Grafana, PRTG, or Nagios.
- Experience in system hardening, patch management, vulnerability remediation, and security operations.
- Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in regulated industries such as finance, telecommunications, or technology is an advantage.
