Senior Java Developer

CLIENT AND PROJECT

We are looking for Backend Engineer for Client who is building the future of banking. Their mission is to build the leading BaaS provider in the UK, underpinned by innovative technology and backed by reach and strong balance sheet. We’re looking for people with drive and ambition, and a sense of fun.

The client needs experienced Java Developers for several different teams dealing with payments, cards management, invoices, credit products.

Most of the teams already exist and it will be their support. They all work in Scrum (2 weekly sprints). Some topics are more typically backend, others touch fullstack.

The solutions concern the UK and the UK market.

Location: once every two weeks one day from the office in Warsaw, the rest remotely.

Tech stack: Java, Spring, Micronaut, AWS, Kubernetres, Microservices, Agile.

• Solid practical and theoretical knowledge of Java software development.
• Strong experience of Spring Boot / Micronaut.
• An understanding of Kubernetes / Docker.
• An excellent understanding of AWS (deployment / configuration).
• Message-driven architectures / Kafka / event sourcing.
• Success delivering within an agile.
• Experience working on a highly secure application environment.
• Ability to act as a subject matter expert and communicate with clarity and empathy to both technical and non technical audiences.
• Understanding how to translate business objectives into data driven insights.
