Senior Java Developer - Hybrid

Cantor Fitzgerald is seeking a highly skilled C++ Developer to join the Trading Systems development team. The role involves developing modules of high frequency trading platform and matching engine.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain server-side Java applications for trading platforms.
- Implement robust, scalable solutions using Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
- Collaborate with business analysts, tech leads, traders, and other developers to deliver mission-critical features.
- Optimize application performance for high throughput and low latency in a real-time trading environment.
- Ensure code quality through unit tests and end-to-end test automation.
- Participate in DevOps pipeline development and deployment automation using Git/GitLab, Maven and Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.
Core Competencies & Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Java (8+) with a focus on server-side development.
- Expertise in Spring, Spring Boot, and Maven for enterprise application development.
- Experience with at least one web application development framework (e.g., Angular, React, or similar).
- Solid understanding of multithreading, concurrency, and application performance tuning.
- Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with message queue systems (e.g., Kafka, JMS) and RESTful services.
- Knowledge of SQL and relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in Java development.
- Prior experience in electronic trading systems, brokerage platforms, or financial services technology is a strong plus.
Desirable Skills:
- Monitoring and observability tools: Splunk, ELK stack, Grafana/Prometheus.

Work Arrangement
- This is a hybrid role based in Warsaw, with three days per week in the office.
- The role is offered primarily as a permanent contract (Umowa o Pracę – UoP).
- Salary range: 20,000 PLN – 40,000 PLN (depending on experience and contract type).

- Background in pricing models or quantitative analytics (any asset class)
- Exposure to real-time or event-driven environments

- Some exposure to C++, Python, or Java
- Experience working with trading desks or in financial services
