About the Project
We are looking for a Senior Java Engineer with strong Keycloak and IAM experience to join our team.
You will work on a technically challenging international project involving backend development, identity management, system integrations, and security-focused functionality.
Location: EU or Ukraine (remote)
English: B2+
Workload: Full-time
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain backend functionality using Java;
Work with Keycloak-based identity and access management solutions;
Configure and customize authentication and authorization functionality;
Develop and maintain integrations with internal and external systems;
Work with APIs and modern authentication protocols;
Participate in architecture and technical decision-making;
Contribute to application security and access-control practices;
Work with containerized environments and CI/CD processes;
Conduct code reviews and maintain high engineering standards;
Collaborate with an international development team.
Skills Required
5+ years of commercial software development experience;
Strong commercial experience with Java;
Hands-on experience with Keycloak;
Experience customizing Keycloak authentication flows and/or UI/themes;
Good understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM);
Strong understanding of authentication and authorization concepts;
Experience working with modern authentication protocols and standards;
Experience designing and integrating REST APIs;
Experience with Docker and containerized environments;
Understanding of CI/CD and modern development workflows;
Good understanding of application security principles;
Strong problem-solving skills and proactive mindset;
B2+ English communication skills.
Nice to Have
Experience with Kubernetes;
Experience with enterprise identity integrations;
Linux experience;
Automation or scripting experience;
Experience with monitoring and logging tools;
Experience with cloud environments;
Frontend experience with Angular, React, Vue.js, or similar technologies;
