Senior Linux System Administrator
Job description
We are looking for senior Linux system administrators with strong hands-on experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Kubernetes to administer and support the infrastructure underpinning an HPC environment. The role focuses on system reliability, security, performance, automation, and availability.
Key responsibilities
- Administer and maintain RHEL/Linux servers and HPC compute nodes.
- Install, configure, patch, upgrade, and troubleshoot Linux operating systems.
- Manage and support Kubernetes clusters, nodes, and workloads.
- Perform Linux performance tuning, system hardening, and troubleshooting.
- Monitor system health, capacity, performance, and availability.
- Automate infrastructure administration using Ansible, shell scripting, Python, or similar tools.
- Support integration between compute, storage, networking, Kubernetes, and HPC platforms.
- Troubleshoot complex Linux, Kubernetes, and infrastructure issues.
- Implement security best practices across Linux and Kubernetes environments.
- Support incident resolution, root-cause analysis, and preventive actions.
- Maintain system configurations, technical documentation, and operational procedures.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience as a Linux system administrator/Linux engineer/RHEL administrator.
- Expert-level administration of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
- Strong experience with Kubernetes administration and cluster management.
- Experience supporting HPC environments/compute clusters is highly preferred.

- RHCE – Red Hat Certified Engineer: mandatory
- CKA – Certified Kubernetes Administrator: preferred
