Senior Machine Learning Engineer

You will develop and optimise machine learning models for specialised hardware and large-scale systems. You will benchmark models, evaluate software releases, fix code, conduct reviews, design experiments, improve model efficiency, and collaborate across research, software, and product work.

Responsibilities

  • Implement machine learning models
  • Optimise models for performance and accuracy across thousands of accelerators
  • Test and evaluate internal software releases
  • Provide feedback to software engineering teams
  • Fix code and conduct code reviews
  • Benchmark models and machine learning techniques
  • Identify performance bottlenecks
  • Design and conduct experiments on novel AI methods
  • Evaluate experiment results
  • Collaborate with Research, Software, and Product teams
  • Engage with the AI community

Requirements

  • Bachelor's, Master's, PhD or equivalent experience in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Maths, Data Science or a related field
  • Proficiency in PyTorch or JAX
  • Strong Python or C++ software development skills
  • Expertise in deep learning from model training through optimisation and evaluation
  • Ability to design, execute and report ML experiments
  • Understanding of performance bottlenecks and how to overcome them
  • Experience with MLOps for Kubernetes-based clusters, production large language model systems, or low-precision computing
  • Experience writing C++, Triton or CUDA kernels
  • Experience in distributed training or inference across 64+ accelerators
  • Familiarity with HPC systems and InfiniBand, NVLink or RoCE
  • Knowledge of cloud computing platforms
