Senior Manager / Director - General Insurance

Title General Insurance - Senior Manager or Director (Depending on Seniority)

Minimum 7-10 years work experience in Insurance Industry

Experience can be with an Insurance Company and/or Brokerage business, but both is an advantage

University degree in any field

Valid and current Brokers License for Non-Life (Mandatory)

Broad based technical expertise across most general insurance lines i.e. Property, Liability, Motor, Marine, Financial Lines, etc.

Written and Spoken English skills must be very good (Preferred)

Preference for someone comfortable working for a smaller to mid-size firm

Part of a group which has over 100 Years presence in Thailand

Comfortable with customer facing role > office based 90% of the time, with minor time spent outside office seeing existing and prospect companies/clients.

o Not a Sales position, per se, but needs to be able to handle a warm lead or referral and successfully close a deal. Sales targets to increase comp, if desired. (Most of the business is Referrals and clients are mainly from GP group)

o 90% of the client portfolio is Corporate accounts, with 10% Individuals/Personal Lines

Appropriate computer skills MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

If the more senior role, then will manage 1 direct report under this position

Reports to MD on remote basis, so must be comfortable as independent working style and self-disciplined

Compensation details:

o Salary range of THB 50,000 to THB 100,000 depending on experience, etc.

o Group Health / Life / Provident Fund plan (after 3 months Probation)

o Annual Bonus, subject to company performance (Usually is 3-4 times salary)

o Performance Bonus, subject to agreed Individual targets, but likely a threshold of circa THB 1M minimum to qualify (i.e. must at least pay for themself).
