Senior Network Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Senior Network Engineer with a strong focus on security and a CCNA certification to join our client's team in Gachibowli, Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, ensuring they meet our organizations security, availability, and performance requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and other network hardware.
• Develop network solutions that align with business objectives, ensuring robust security and optimal performance.
• Collaborate with IT staff and management to define and implement network requirements.
• Monitor and maintain network performance, ensuring system availability and reliability.
• Perform regular maintenance and upgrades, including service packs, patches, hotfixes, and security configurations.
• Diagnose and resolve network issues swiftly to minimize downtime.
• Implement and manage security measures such as firewalls, access controls, and encryption protocols.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in network infrastructure.
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, changes, and procedures.
• Provide regular reports on network status, issues, and performance.
• Offer technical support for network-related issues to end-users and IT staff.
• Collaborate with vendors, service providers, and external partners to resolve issues and manage network services.
• Assist in the evaluation and selection of new technologies and tools to enhance network efficiency and performance.

Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF).
• Experience with network hardware, including Cisco, Juniper, and HP devices.
• Familiarity with network security practices, such as firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS.
• Proficiency in configuring and managing routers, switches, and wireless access points.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with a methodical approach to diagnosing and resolving complex network issues.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in preparing technical documentation and reports.
• Hands-on experience with Fortigate firewalls, Cisco switches, Aruba wireless devices, Aruba Central, and Wireshark.

Certifications:

• CCNA (required)
